Man Behind
Shanti Hospital was named after
Late Mrs. Shantilata Patnaik, mother of the present CMD, Dr. Sreejoy
Patnaik. Dr. Patnaik aged 41 years is the youngest child of late Sri
Gopal Chandra Patnaik & Late Mrs. Shantilata Patnaik of Patnaik
Colony, Thoria Sahi, Cuttack. Dr. Sreejoy Patnaik was born on 21st
February 1961 at Cuttack. His industrious father Mr. Gopal Chandra
Pattnaik, was the pioneer Industrialist of the State in Late 50’s.
He was the first businessman to start Automobile business in the
state. He remained in peace for almost 4 decades in this business.
His mother Mrs. Shantilata Pattnaik was a cordial lovable lady &
with her inspiration Dr. Pattnaik could dream of a hospital in her
name as his mother’s last wish was that one of her son’s should
become a doctor & treat the poor & the needy.
