Her son Dr. Sreejoy Pattnaik, who presently owns this hospital, had dreamt of building up a hospital, in the name of “SHANTI”  his mother. It had been  her last wish that her youngest heir should become a doctor to give service to the poor and the needy, before taking her last breath on that fateful day of December 6^th 1979. Her wish was fulfilled by her youngest son Dr. Sreejoy Pattnaik and he started this project in January 1991.

Shanti hospital was first born in 1991 April  with 10 beds initially and  is presently  40 bedded. It has an ideal atmosphere in its calm ambience that is serenely quiet and is located centrally in the heart  of Cuttack city. It is  full of greens and has blooming trees with flowers all around.
